If you think 17-18 is the same with 21+ you need some help, 18 might be the legal age but people who's 18 is not that mature and still has the mindset of a teenager USUALLY, and in this story its OBVIOUS that they have a big ass age gap, why even deny it???

I'm not gonna deny the age gap since it's not uncommon to see it in many stories (used to see it in many shoujo too when i was little, 15-to 17 teen girls dating full fledged adults in their 30 like and the same happening in older yaoi, where the "uke" was always or for the most an underage teen)

I do see people younger than me as kids and that's what normal people usually feel, and i do judge people going after barely "adult" teenagers, but we should learn to use the terms in a correct way

I would consider a relationship between a 15yo and a 10yo even tho both are underage as pedophilic because the jump in mentality and experience (which is a lot drastic during the first 20 years of life) clearly shows an imbalance. The same way a 18yo with a 14yo is clearly ambigual.

If you want a real life example: I disliked Jay z and Beyoncé relationship when i found out he was 30 and she was 19 and they were working in the same space because why is this grown ass adult that should be like a mentor having a relationship with someone so young? That even tho it's discutible or even disgusting (for me at least), it's still not considered pedophilia. Predatory? Yes. Creepy? Yes. Pedophilic? No unfortunately.

And I talk based on what i saw and the people i knew, because these are all observations i started having from when i was 15.
