I understand why people don’t like Hyesung, but think about it from his perspective. He thought he was an alpha all his life until he met Dojin. In the beginning almost all of the sex he has with Dojin is nonconsensual. Either Dojin is forceful or his heat makes him lose control, which is scary even if he enjoys it. Dojin was pretty apathetic and mean to Hyesung until he got pregnant, then his whole entire attitude changed. Hyesung got pregnant with a baby he didn’t even want, even though we all love Byul now. It must have all been very overwhelming and frightening to him. I can’t help but not hate him, plus his character development later on is great. Plus now he’s a loving parent and partner.
exactly! one part of yaoi that I hate is how "rapey" a lot of the works are. And a lot of people read yaoi just to fetizise the gay men, instead of actually enjoying the plot. For example the really popular anime "dakaretai otoko" or something like that Chuuntha literally raped Yamato
