pieces of media get banned all the time, just bc some things are banned or censored doesn’t mean it’s illegal content?? take something like shoujo tsubaki (animanga) for example, it’s violent and disturbing and has been banned from airing in japan for “obscenity” and too violent for the average viewer, yet depending on where u live it is easily accessible and not a crime to watch. why isn’t it illegal? bc it’s fucking fiction, a cartoon nothing is being replicated irl and nobody is being encouraged to rein-act scenes in that movie/manga.
