It's kind funny how younger me will absolutely ship the love trio tgt, but now me loves the idea of found family of friendships so much more that that is all I can see the love trio in. I see why people ship them and I understand. Like iruazz is also shippable but I just see like, a weird basically married but still friends relationship. I don't think it's because I ship irumeri. It's just that the kind of relationship of iruma and ameri and iruma to Alice and Clara. Is completely different. Yes soulmates love trio and he loves them and trusts them and never what to be far away from them, but my depiction of it is that he found people he could trust his entire being to without worries, after his terrible many years of life before grandpa adopted iruma. That bond they have is irreplaceable and just special. Idk, I just see it very strongly as married to your friends and never replace them but never seeing them romantically even if it goes doki doki sometimes.
Irumeri seems to be what the author seems to be pushing as romantic (though I guess u can also see Clara and Alice as potential romantic partners) partner and ameri is very aware of her romantic affection to iruma (though I love that it never hinders her from her own goals and also wants iruma to continue to pursue even greater things), and they have multiple romantic moments like the dance and the water park date and more. But rn iruma is not ready for anything beyond familial and friendship relationships yet, with his humanity secret trying to survive the demon world the many things going on and the shenanigans he goes through, romance just doesn't seem to pass through his brain yet so all the best to those who are after his heart hahaha
