Nothing really changed ... Shingo still holds an inferior position in this relationship. They didn't clear things up and find a compromise to prevent future problems about the same damn thing. Shingo said if he's not the first place he doesn't want it but I'm sure it's more like if I'm not the only one I don't want it... Maybe he's just meeting Keiichi halfway but I don't think so. We should set some ground rules here, yeah? Hopefully next chapter- About time. ╥﹏╥

There's also the fact that--at the end of the day-- no matter how much they love each other, by social standards Shingo will always be the reacher and Keiichi is the settler. The entire design of Keiichi's character is such that he's superior to Shingo in every way--rich, handsome, famous, etc. while Shingo is the unlikely underdog who happened to snag the prince. Keiichi has already proven he can get by without Shingo (granted not as happily) while Shingo has shown that he can't do the same. I can't see how their current dynamic is ever going to be dispersed, especially when Shingo is too submissive and flighty to take any power in the relationship.

Well, tbh, the way I see it, these kinds of events and conflicts between them are all caused by that imbalance in the first place. Shingo's constant insecurity leading him to do irrational stuff and scare easy, Kei's "I can have my way with you" attitude making him more inclined to bully/boss Shingo, and all that comes from Shingo being essentially "lesser" and Kei being superior. Like, for the love of god, Shingo's even inferior on a werecat level with him being an "unusually small black cat" (basically the type of cat that gets overlooked at a shelter) while Keiichi is a leopard of all things.
Like, I think the intention was to be a romantic love-surpasses-status!! type thing, but tbh it's kind of shown that relationships with that dynamic are a bittersweet train-wreck.
Which is not to say I don't enjoy this series--I love it and I adore Shingo though Keiichi makes me SO. MAD.

The dynamics of this relationship seem to get less and less romantic as the story continues. Due to that power imbalance, and Keiichi character, I would say. There seems little left of genuine mutual caring now, but possesiveness on 1 side and dependency on the other.
