suddenly the raccoon bolted out of the dumpster and bit andrew on the leg before sprinting away. andrew howled in pain, letting go of his force choke on luke. luke fell to the ground, gasping for air.
“TRAITOR!” andrew yelled after the raccoon that was already long gone. the pain in his leg was growing, but it was nothing compared to the shattered bond of friendship. he collapsed, gripping the bitten leg.
“andrew, we need to, get you, to the hospital,” luke managed to say between gasps.
“no you’re a liar and a traitor too.” andrew tried to drag himself to create distance between the two.
“you might get rabies!”
“fuck rabies!”
“people don’t magically cure from rabies, and you have a higher mortality rate if you don’t seek treatment!” luke walked up to andrew and kneeled next to him.

“i don’t need your help!” andrew attempted to struggle against luke to no avail.
