I was actually looking forward to seeing them bond. But I only got the before and after, not the during. I'm happy, but a little disappointed at the same time.
I'm not after the smexy scene, I just want to see that one moment in omegaverse stories when two partners finally bond. It's important for me in a scene you know.
To be honest, I prefer Ian hurting Raymond. Like, leaving him to be with other sponsor, or betray him, or something(not love),then go back to Raymond. Or Raymond hurting him, but then realizes about everything before it's too late. I don't know why.. It just pains me to see Ian like this.
But don't get me wrong people, it's because it hurts, that I love story. There must be something wrong with me, since I love stories that hurts. I'm actually very afraid of how this will end...

It’s because it’s very cliche. Most romance plots center around a heroine either needing to be saved or harmed by her love interest in some way only to forgive him when he makes a grand gesture. It’s so one dimensional that sadly even a gay centric plot regardless of how well it’s drawn is just all the same. Ian will be emotionally hurt by Raymond but will be “redeemed” the end despite of that. It’s not rocket science but at least that keeps you on your toes, when a 1+1= 2 kind of plot, it doesn’t get you into the history books let alone keeping it your mind to remember the day after tomorrow.

this plot specifically relies on the period piece drama of paperback style of a harlequin romance novel that an unmarried aunt would read. It's not inherently bad nor have i actually said that. I'm complaining about how the cliche of the plot is how tired and true it is despite the problematic elements of just another emotionally damaging relationship seen as romantic. Are people ignoring why Raymond initially took Ian in? Or how he's emotionally manipulated Ian? What because he had a sad childhood that's reason enough for him to use people however he chosen? I'm not saying this isn't a reality, but it's exhausting how many plots are like this, and people fawn over it ONLY because the main character is drawn to be conventionally attractive, it's such low standards granted to be far the real world operates on such standards as well.

Okay.. First of all, the art style is soo amazing.. Second, those pouty2x thingy's is what you'll get to transition handsomeness to cuteness.. Third, there are handsome guys, cute guys, cool/admirable guys, and then the lonely ones. Fourth, THIS IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL VAMPIRE STORY. It's much deeper than you thought.. I actually have mixed feelings with stories like this, and melancholy is one those..
