I'm glad that the ship is sailing on the high winds of Valhalla, but in all seriousness, no one should be treated like how that girl was treated.
Yes, calling Jian Yi a disgusting gay was uncalled for, but would you be able to keep a level head after your feelings were publicly ridiculed like that? I don't dislike her in the slightest. I just feel really bad for her.

I agree; what she said was under no circumstances okay in any way, it never is, and she didn't have the right to say such things, but she honestly had all the reason to. She's in love with Xixi, her feelings have been shown and ridiculed by the entire school and the only one really getting in the way of her love is Jian Yi. She was upset for a number of reasons and she had all the right to feel shitty. Calling him that is taking it over the line, sure, but she honestly doesn't deserve all the hate she's getting right now. They're just fictional, I need to calm down...

They're just fictional charactee but dunno why the feels is real. Good job Old Xian, I love you. (/TДT)/

Thank you so much! I am glad that Old Xian is still attracting sensible readers who still have hearts. I was getting disgusted by all the hate comments about that girl especially since Jian Yi egged her on by blaming this situation on her, but no one is calling him out.

Yep. To be completely honest, none of them acted in a way that was okay. They were both very upset and then took it out on each other. They're both in the wrong, even though they both had reasons to. Bless Zhan Zheng Xi, he handled this all so well that sweet boy. Why am I calling him that he's the same age as me

The first time glasses guy stood out and now playboy-kun has finally noticed him.

This manga is so messed up and disgusting. It's bullying, rape, and exploitation where those who actually hold authority (teachers) don't even give a shit. Yeah there's the 'lovely' smut and great art, but the storyline is rotten to the core with hated characters with little to no redeemable qualities except for their bodies.
(Yeah I'll probably get 10+ thumbs down but seriously. This is so wrong.)
The level of self-righteous officious hate over the last few days has been extreme even by the cesspool standards of this website. WTF is up, people? Has the universe pissed in everyone's cornflakes? So this offends your delicate sensibilities. You can't just stop reading and move on. No, you have to turn around and piss on everyone else. Feel better now?
You obviously did not understand the themes running through this novel. The reason that's it's so good is because yea, the characters are well drawn and the sexy scenes are awesome. But more importantly the story line is so well constructed. It is meant to be twisted l. That's its genre. The writer cleverly uses symbols and the 'caste' rank of the characters to represent society. Of course it's not for everybody but to be honest I've never come across a bL manga, or story linein fact, like this. It's a unique plot. the sad bit about the plot and all the symbolism and metaphor shit is that it's true. Each character represents a different member of society. But hey don't worry. it's not everybody. It's meant to be a very dark and twisted story portraying a capitalistic society. I personally think that this is the best BL manga I've ever come across. Ok I'll stop ranting now ahaha...
"It's meant to be a very dark and twisted story portraying a capitalistic society"...Exactly. I'm very pleased to see that an amount of people, despite the fact that it's a manga and it's yaoi and that every aspect of what makes this comic attractive is having a 9,5/10 (erotic, good art, etc,) it can be read between all that what it makes this amazing work so interesting, through the eyes and feelings of these rotten young people is what the society is suffering these days... the cult to the vanity, to the lust, to the power for the power itself...sometimes I think that certain people can't deal with either novels, movies, something that it's a slap to our faces, because they don't want a reminder that the reality is that, as a society we're very sick and rotten to the core. We can see it every day at the news and maybe some people is tired of that and see in this thing an escape from that reality.
There're others like me, that we can deal with it and it's just like "oh well, I think that reality surpass the fiction so many times, but how interesting is this story, still" The characters are flawless and every one of them is, what the previous reader has said, a representation of the capitalism and how much damage can do to us for the benefit of a very few.
At least everyone has the choice to either go on or drop it. It's up to you.
So much better love <3
I did actually read other comments that have brought up the symbolism and themes that have shown up throughout the manga. Symbolically, I suppose, the author did well in that regard. What got on my nerves the most was how there were many commenters who romanticize this sort of thing.
I don't believe romanticizing is the correct word to use here. Admiring would be better suited. Readers are admiring the symbolism/plot/metaphors/characterization/etc. Basically what I am trying to say is that the effort put into this manga is of 'high quality' for a BL manga. For example naruto and death note are considered as the "higher quality/better written" mangas. The same thing is happening here. It is the same in novels. Personally I admire this manga because I don't view it as just a BL manga. I view it as art or having literary value since it teaches readers. I, myself, have a couple of books published and I admire the creativity and effort that Mrs Ogawa Chise put in this piece of work. It was perfectly executed.
Isn't being twisted and very very wrong the whole point of this manga? Exploring the dark side the structure of the high school caste system and all that.
