This is going in a way I didn’t expect. It got kinda dark fast af. I thought this was going to be cute and funny. I thought Hwan would be a tsundere that keeps calling him a dull looking bumbling idiot until they are in a legit relationship and realizes that he is his bumbling idiot. And then maybe later on he would end up pregnant and there would be a misunderstanding of “oh you got me pregnant because you wanted your company” and then Hwan would be like no, I don’t care about the company I just want you and our baby. But Hwan really whipped out the manipulation like nobodies business.
Deffo should’ve been the way it went, I feel that the author tried to force the usual “contract couple” dynamic on them when it could’ve been so much better!
For real it could have been the fluffiest most sugar sweet story but then we got Stockholm syndrome instead.

To me it almost feels like Yoosung is both scared to get involved with Joo Hyuk because of family pressure while simultaneously waiting for Joo-Hyuk to actually pursue him.
Since we are mostly in Joo Hyuks POV it seems like all the longing is coming from him but, unfortunately due to how others have treated him, he evidently feels inferior and undeserving of Yoosung. He doesn’t chase. He doesn’t explicitly say how he feels. He doesn’t put Yoosung in his place. He comes when he is called. He is justified in cutting off the relationship.
Meanwhile all the action is coming from Yoosung. He is used to get what he wants. He is used to people coming after him. He flirts. He calls. He pursues. He plays with him. He baits him and tried to make him jealous so that he will step forward, but he never does. I think the engagement brag was first of all a defense mechanism for rejection and secondly jealous baiting to get him to speak now or lose him.
Neither are handling the relationship the right way. Especially Yoosung. He’s acting like an F boy. I don’t know that I could go as far to say it’s abusive, but I would definitely say he is toxic.
