It’s a cult, they probably believe that eating people will bring them prosperity or sth. They may have fed MC human meat as well. Cults are very common in Korea, but idk about cannibalism.
He pretended to be innocent and mentally impaired all this time, bruh was raised in the cult and basically went crazy. I translated some of the things he was saying and bruh is clinically insane
Honestly after re reading I'm even more confused than before, the timeline keeps jumping between present and past, and Jintae and his brother look exactly the same. Things don’t match up at all.

I take that back, wtf is this story. The brother of Jintae is fucking crazy. They have that psychosis in their blood because both of them are messed up. Partly because of cult but also tf is wrong with their personalities
The only thing I understood was that Jintae took MC to see that cannibalism show because that cult probably believes that eating human flesh heals/becomes immortal. And Jintae is worried about MC because due to his condition the probability of him dying young is high. For the younger brother, it's not clear to me bc he made a personality change within a few chapters
I wish author at least made Jintae and his brother look different, I get them mixed up all the time. Jintae's brother pretended earlier on, he’s exactly like Jintae but even more psychotic. He also knows or is involved in the cult. That’s what I know from the fragments I translated
