Director Kang didn’t know he was going to be Yiyoung’s first everything when they first started dating. I think it’s less about age and more about experience seeing as it only became a vocal problem when he realised so. Also, I don’t think it’s fair to say he doesn’t validate yiyoung’s thoughts and feelings because he did actively try to communicate and fix things with yiyoung after he got upset. Just because he stuck to his own belief system doesn’t mean yiyoung wasn’t heard. Imo, both opinions are valid and this conflict does a good job to showcase struggles within an age gap relationship. Kudos to the author!
yup u can hear ur partner but just listening does nothing, what i mean by validate jiyoungs its that he needs to stop trying to put his ideas on him, yes his experience give this sense of control over what might happen to their relationship but this types of behaviour its just him allowing his fears to happen he will look for every chance to confirm them more now that some young rival appeared i totally get mr kang soooo basically he's having a self sabotage episode im so glad jiyoung can deal with that now that mr kang reassured him with his intentions of being his last partner
