I’m assuming she was probably demoted, kicked out and ostracised because nowhere did they mention any type of physical punishment or repercussions, which would have certainly been brought up, at least in context, if they had happened. Maybe because the palace was fooled by her for so long, they felt too ashamed to publicly do something "outrageous" for someone I believe was of noble blood?! So it could have also been very likely that she was left of the hook by simply being banished back to her family's home

1. MC is now back in college with the help of seme. Taking Social services bcs of how the seme helps him all the time without expecting anything in return.
