You know when a writer accidentally created a chemistry and sexual tension between two rivals? This one is literally the opposite of that. The writer tried so hard to create the chemistry but just accidentally make them nothing more than rivals.
So many scenes just scream r*pe vibe, some borderline prostitution but That’s another topic. It doesn’t matter if he finally gaves in, it’s still a no. But props for the top for the first smut scene tho to not doing weird shit to a sleeping man although he was leaving with a blue ball.
But that didn’t justify what he does before and after the top is piece of garbage with a bit of respect for sleeping people. That’s it, that’s his whole redeeming factor. And it’s not gonna cover up the rest of his trashyness.
The characters suck ass, the top have no personality and his logic was questionable, with that kind of moral compass he would end up in jail or dead by 30. And the bottom have no other personality than grumpy and angsty, it’s literally like watching my middle school emo tragedy phase. He’s so emo with all this sad background, but somehow there’s no depth into it, he was bummed that he got a mountain of debt but not his father “soup a side”? The mountain of loan was unexplained, no clear number or goal. Making the bottom whose name I was too lazy to learn, seems like working on an endless nightmare.
The side characters are so weird, nobody behaves like a fucking normal human being. Although it’s ABO fantasy world in a comic it has no excuse to draw them as human and gave them the personality of a piece of bread. The side characters are really similar with some cheap fanfic I wrote at 12.

The sex scene was weird, it’s not that bad because I’ve seen worse, but it’s indeed weird. And somehow uncomfortable, the top are just a rich creep. The fact they got together in the end bothers me.

Oh and worth to mention how usually in rival to lover trope there’s this big arc of them taking care of each other and fall in love. This manhwa did that. But in a form of the dom alpha taking care of the res alpha that got sick because they fucked all day long.
No build up, no climax of the story. Dis.apo.intment, the gimmick have a potential. Too bad.
I really felt this^^ I absolutely hated this poorly written rot. I finished it to the end thinking ok it has to get better I mean someone edited, published and made $ on it but no. Thank God it was free. I hated the bottom's boss. I hated that he kept letting that rich fkr rape him for cash, guess money means privilege in fiction too. I really hated that there were no consequences for the top, that is why there was no character development...he never had to work for a relationship. The best I could do was sympathize a lil bit for the bottom after seeing he was imprinted but I wasn't emotionally invested enough for more.
