The problem at the beginning isn't really solved it's more like it was avoided, and since its only 2 chapters we don't know if it will be resolved or how the relationship will change
Anyway it's not really a sad ending but it's not really happy either, I guess the reader can decide whether they are satisfied or not
Sorry it's long but what I'm trying to say is that nothing really gets resolved since they don't really address the issue, they talk about but they don't do anything about it
