His mom was a lesbian (but she didn't realize it for 10+ years, all she knew was that her husband touching her made her feel sick, and she really, really liked her friend/inseo's mom "platonically") Inseo casually exposed her for liking his mom in the same way he likes her son. The realization made her have a mental breakdown, and she later divorced her husband and abandoned Yi-heok. But despite living "freely", she's really depressed and is an alcoholic because she feels guilty for leaving Yi-hyeok and her best friend with zero explanation on her part. And the story just kind of leaves her hanging from there, unfortunately :/

90% possible, Daejun thinks Sihjeon doesn't know he knows and Sihjeon thinks he doesn't know cos believing it is quite stupid to say
he knows. sihyeon spoke smth only daejun would understand (the chapter where daejun was drunk and was asked how many fingers sihyeon was holding up).
