wow this was rlly good, and such a rollercoaster ;~; this is a very thoughtful representation of internalized homophobia. kyousuke struggles with this self-hatred bc of his sexuality (thanks to his parents) which develops into a need to be "ideal."
its interesting how this need pervades into other facets of his life, like his design job, and his relationship with kasumi. he feels the need to push kasumi towards what is "normal" bc of his belief that that will make him happy. i mean, being gay is not "ideal" in his eyes
im glad they are happy together at the end. the desire to be normal or perfect stems from the desire to have the approval of others. and no one can rlly attain happiness when everything they do is based on everyone else's opinion. to put it plainly, kyousuke stopped giving a fuck, and that gave him the freedom to be happy
i feel like those were perfectly good reasons to move in with someone?? bc ur worried about them and to have sex (AKA be close and intimate etc) also are ppl talking about the extra shadow next to the noses being whats different....? otherwise i dont rlly see anything lol
