Have you ever considered maybe I just found the plot boring? The fact in the first chapter we have no understanding or deeper connection to the two main characters. Or rather the fact that the setting seemed very vague. Maybe I'll give it a try again but after one chapter I found it boring as I didn't see any chemistry.
