I’m conflicted, I dropped this since it said tragedy as one of the genres/tags... is it really tragedy though

    GotHumor October 2, 2020 6:39 am

To begin with, absolutely. Later on things come to light she didn't know in her previous life that also fit the tag, however, it's not the main theme

    Iris October 2, 2020 6:45 am

Right right. So tragic start, not end.

Apparently, the author did a terrible thing. I’m not one to say this, but you are able to like the story, just DO NOT like the author. I’ll continue reading this since I enjoy it and I’m already on chapter 117. Humans have human rights, you can like the work, just not the author. Especially since this is an illegal sight so they won’t be getting money either way.

Tbh, I’m fine with Jugyeong being with Seojun. I actually support it. After all, they are currently dating. So for those who EXTREMELY support Team Suho to the point where you would do anything, please please please don’t say stuff like “I hope Seojun and Jugyeong break up” or cursing Seojun. Even if this if just fiction, the author out her heart and soul into writing this story, so cursing the actions of the character would be like cursing the author.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t support Suho and Jugyeong !! I would also love them being together and them not breaks my heart, even though I am Team Seojun. Just don’t let it be to the point where you start blaming the author.

Also, this is sorta off topic. But although I support Team Seojun, I can’t necessarily get mad at Suho. Even if he did do stuff like asking if Jugyeong likes handsome men or meeting up with her every so often. Suho was Jugyeong’s first love and vice-versa, if I was in the position of her, I also think I wouldn’t be able to wait that long for him; maybe even shorter. I love Suho a ton and I was so so sad when she ended up with Seojun :(( my baby looked so sad ;-; but it was her decision. As long as he doesn’t cross the line, I’ll continue supporting both him and Team Seojun ! Fighting u3u

Don’t forget to support the author on WEBTOON for free !!!

I literally cannot with this. The art is beautiful and it truly shows the reality of this world. I was moved to tears and it’s just both a tearjerker yet something to smile happily at. Would 100% recommend. It’s amazing and a pure masterpiece.

But seriously, it was so good and emotional

If I had to be brutally honest, I dislike both the seme and the uke. Not HATE, just dislike. Yes, the seme (I forgot his name, sorry about that!) has gone through extremely traumatic events, one that a child or even an adult shouldn’t have gone through, but Mioto (uke) has also gone through some seriously messed up shit. I’m going to go into a little more detail, so this contains spoilers ! Be aware uwu and skip to the last and second to last paragraph for more context !

Honestly, I believe Mioto’s trauma was far worse. Now I didn’t say the seme’s trauma was not bad or anything of the sort, but just that Mioto had a traumatic event worse than the seme’s (his was still fucked up though ngl :”)) . Imagine you were in the perspective of the seme. You were born into a rich and prosperous, along with powerful, family, however only your mother took care of you. She mentally abused you and was guilty of murder to someone precious to you, killing herself in the end. Anyone would become mentally ill after that. But let’s take a look into Mioto’s trauma. This is just my assumption since we haven’t gotten a full backstory. But his father and mother both died in a car crash. Mioto being stuck in the dark, alone, under his loving father’s DEAD BODY. A corpse was literally on top of you. Another thing is that his father was a kind and loving soul that always took care of you, so think how scared and tragic Mioto felt when as a child, his precious father was on top of him. And the seme already had the mind of an adult, and was able to process his situation logically while Mioto couldn’t as he was still a normal child. Of course, I don’t know the full details of Mioto’s past but to me, I would definitely have more trauma with Mioto’s past rather than the seme’s. But it was still pretty sad for the both of them.

The reason why I dislike the seme is because he’s done something I can’t ever accept nor love him for it. He’s raped the seme, manipulate, kidnapped, isolated/locked up, and basically ‘cheated’ on him. The reason as to why I dislike the uke, well, he FORGAVE the seme. Even though the seme raped and manipulated him. All of a sudden, after hearing his sad backstory that’s pretty messed up, he forgave him. For all we know, the seme could be lying, after all, he is the son of a rich and powerful family so nothing would happen to him even if he did lie in that way. Also his manipulative and obsessive personality can make him lie and act that well. Now why did the uke forgive him? Hell if I know, I would’ve packed my bags and asked for a transfer the second I save a dude fucking another dude during school and in a classroom ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

This is a pretty toxic relationship and if this was an actual story, uke would already either run the fuck away from him, stay with him and eventually break up, or the both of them would be headed to either a psych ward or mental institution (or just the seme). If it was me... I would already be on the other side of the world. Anyway, it’s a pretty good plot and I plan on continue reading it! So wish me luck I get through this and don’t end up like the seme :) and feel free to POLITELY critique me :D!

Sorry if I got their names wrong (●’◡’●)ノ

    happyNisssha September 28, 2020 6:28 am

I completely agree(Fat fingers and not wearing my glasses), I would’ve got the fuck outta there, had someone essentially kidnap and locked me up. Seme is completely emotionally stunted, needs some serious psychological help, definitely not the help of a child with his own issues.

    crow September 28, 2020 8:04 am

I totally agree with MOST of what you're saying-
but let me offer this as a rebuttal

In case I missed it- the uke CLEARLY said that he won't forgive the seme. He said that he understood better now WHY it happened, and that he would like the help him get better (because, let us say, the seme was and IS really mentally ill.) and the uke is a saint for helping him. the seme impressed me because he didn't do a 180 and is suddenly great but instead is working through problems. i support that. he wants to get healthy. being surrounded by the people the seme is, he never got to see what a HEALTHY relationship looked like.

same thing as if a kid was raised in a place where rape was like... normal. or just having sex with anyone is normal. why would all of a sudden when he does it is it wrong? to him, thats all hes seen and experienced.

so the uke promised to help him work through his issues. In my opinion, this is good, and (of course i'm not talking about the rape) but I think it's fine. the story is interesting and at least they offer a reason for why the seme is that way and why he did it (not just because he was suddenly angry and went >:( too far like some stupid shit semes say and then the uke is like "okay" )

I mean of course I've read so many stories that I'm slightly numb to the crazy semes, but seriously my man had ISSUES growing up. The amount of emotion he displayed when he found out his mom died was none. He has a god complex. he barely had anything for himself and it obviously fucked him up hardcore. working through that immense trauma takes HARD, HARD WORK. Now will I be mad if he rapes him again? FURIOUS.

But, also like you said the uke had trauma too, but I can't say it's worse. Hard? yeah. 100%. But it's also a different type of trauma. He wasn't raised to have a god complex, he was raised to think he was inferior, but should work harder than anyone else to achieve what someone else wanted. not a god complex, not a psychotic mom or an uncaring father. He did receive some love growing up. he got siblings. of course trauma is always relative, but its a different type and different level.

So, in conclusion: If the seme continues working on himself from here, this will be a good story. I like that the seme is GENUINELY working on himself, not like >:( "i want to rape you when i see you" and the uke is going "aww im sorry babe but you can't do that. >:("

NO. The seme is saying "I'm sorry for my past actions. I'm messed up, really genuinely I am asking for help because I don't know what healthy looks like."
and the uke is saying, "I DO NOT FORGIVE YOU. What you did HURT ME. But I understand. No forgiving, but understanding. I want to help you get better. I care about you, I want you to have happiness but I'm also drawing my own lines and you need to respect me and listen to my words."

so, in my opinion, the more I think of it, the more hope i have for this stories future. i hope it doesn't disappoint.

let me know what you think ^^

    YaoiDrew September 28, 2020 8:15 am

I think the uke never forgave the seme. I mean he said he won't forgive the seme for his actions but instead make him try to learn from him and see his wrong.

Honestly the seme had a more traumatic past for me, yes he had the mindset of an adult, by that's clearly proof itself. During his childhood I never once see him acting like a child, he was forced to be the man in the house by his crazy btch ass mother who keep calling him a God.

Considering the facts, the uke lost his father as a teen(?) So his childhood was smooth sailing, not only that but he even had his siblings with him. The seme had his grandmother who was sadly....... Yeah.

Tbh being born into a rich and prosperous family isn't always good or beneficial for the childs mentality as he/she grows.

I totally agree with MOST of what you're saying-but let me offer this as a rebuttalIn case I missed it- the uke CLEARLY said that he won't forgive the seme. He said that he understood better now WHY it happened... crow

OMG I’m such an idiot, didn’t see that the uke had instead wanted to help him rehabilitate. I thought he immediately just forgave him. Guess I was too caught up in the moment that I just skipped the part in anger (⊙…⊙ )

Anyway, I agree with you ! It’s just the fact that I still believe the uke had of a more intense trauma than the seme. AGAIN, this is just my POV and opinion so you don’t have to agree with me nor respond ! Just a simple reply. I’m only in my early teens, so it may just be my childhood fears. But corpses are a no no for me. If the seme was put in the spot of the uke with the same parents he has in his current back story, I doubt he would be as scared as the uke was. The seme at the age of one, could already speak. Not only that, but in his childhood (he looked around 8-15 idek), he was able to read high level books. That shows that with the mind of an adult, he should have processed the information better than what the uke would have. Am I saying seme’s traumatic childhood was alright to happen ? Absolutely not. His childhood shouldn’t have happened the way it should. No person should go through that (I’m mostly concerned on how he doesn’t get any flashbacks like the uke). But the uke was questionably a child. He didn’t have the mind of an adult, he didn’t grow up with abusing or uncaring father, he grew up with a loving family, that died right before his eyes, the father’s corpse on top of him. He may have siblings as he grew up, but were they actually there for him ? The uke, for all we know, could have just had siblings that were just as abusive or uncaring as the seme’s parents. Or perhaps grew that way after his parents died. But that isn’t it. We’re also ignoring the fact that the uke was put into his grandparents(?) house and them labeled as guardians for him. The uke had to go through manipulative guardians, loving parents’ deaths, separated from siblings, bullying, and rape/isolation/kidnapping. The seme has gone through terrible times and as a side-effect, gone mentally unstable, but did he go through multiple bad situations ? Bullying day after day ? Raped ? No. But he did go through messed up things. Honestly, how is the seme not in jail, how is the school not reported, sued, or filed a lawsuit, and why the heck isn’t uke as mentally unstable as the seme... the wonders of yaoi :)

Is the seme’s backstory cruel ? Disgusting ? Horrid ? Yus. Of course, is it as bad as the uke in both present as did past ?... who knows. I may be biased though since I dislike how the seme wasn’t slapped or punched on the face... AT LEAST ONCE. Thank you for the polite response btw !

And sorry for all the misspells :<

your roleplay buddy... jun September 28, 2020 8:58 am

I’ve responded with the text above, sorry, it’s 2:00 AM and I’m too much of a lazy bastard to respond with the same text (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜 unless you’re fine with copy and paste- but I’ll respond to the third and fourth paragraph !

I believe the uke lost his father AND mother when he was a child. Then again, we don’t know. I was simply assuming he was a child since he couldn’t lift his father’s corpse off of him (again ASSUMING he was too heavy). But even if so, the seme did have an extremely traumatic childhood. So much, I wouldn’t have been able to bear it and eventually killed myself (same with the uke). He did have his grandmother who died, but he was also a teenager at the time. Let’s say the uke was supposedly a teenager who also lost his parents at that time. Well, the seme did have the mindset of an adult, making it somewhat, even a 0.0000001 percent easier. Also, the uke was then put under a guardianship of a family that’s treated him also badly.

Yes, I completely agree with the fact that being born in a rich household doesn’t make it alright for the mentality of the child, but it will as they grow older.

If I was in the seme’s position, I would have been just as miserable as him, even worse, but once the abusing mother killed herself, and the father was still uncaring to me, I would’ve been free, able to do whatever I want. If I was in the uke’s position, and my loving father and mother, that loved me to bits, died, and their corpse was laying on top of me, trapping me in darkness. I don’t think I would’ve recovered even with the help of loving siblings. And to top it off with bullying, rape, isolation, AND manipulative new guardians. I would be dead by then. Also, now he has more burdens to carry by helping the seme (which I’m honestly glad for). There is absolutely nothing good going on in the uke’s life right now other than going to a rich school, may I add might not even be all that well, and getting good food :P other than that, being raped, manipulated, isolated from siblings, more issues, and just a ton of negative stuff going on on his life, it shows that the uke MAY have more problems than the seme. The seme did go through some TERRIBLE things, I’m not saying it’s alright, I’m just saying the uke is currently and in the past has traumatic events. How tf do they go through this? Wonders of yaoi ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Thank you for replying in a mature way though, and I apologize for writing so much !
Oh, and for all the grammar mistakes-

Okay last comment i'll make because I TOTALLY agree they both had the worst time lol BUT I don't think he necessarily had the mind of an adult? he just is really academically gifted. Because of the way he was raised, he wasn't allowed to process pain, grief, hatred, getting angry etc... since he was BORN. And he wasn't happy, so he never got happiness aside from hearing about this guy's son. then the only grandma who actually cared about him got choked to death by his MOTHER which is INSANE because he said "don't touch this book" and that the only emotional extent he was allowed in his life? its not that he was 'grown up' or had the mind of an 'adult' I think he was just forced to be that way. he would have been a normal kid that was smart if not for his mom

On the other hand, it showed the uke having his father, who was shown to be a good person, and he loved his son and talked about all the happy times his son was going through, of course our uke COULD just be a saint but he really wanted to see his sibling. That, as far as I could tell ( I can totally be wrong ) means he had a good relationship with his family and sibling. who was a girl if I remember correctly. after the parents? died obviously in front of him (horribly tragic) that is when he was taken in by his grandparents, and his grandparents obviously suck ass and separated the siblings, but obviously, he's REALLY smart too. I can study a ton and still not get into a good school like that EVER because my memory has the bandwidth of a raisin
so you could argue that he was gifted as a child too and really smart, but he got to emotionally develop and that is what makes is story more sad because he felt pain through it all

and, if you think about it, the seme never got a childhood, so all of the anger and regret and emotions he never got to have, he's having right now. he's basically NOW getting a childhood. he's never even cried

BUT yes who suffers more or anything is completely opinion. traumaisn't something you can measure or say how much they're really suffering
anyways kinda do wish the seme got slapped or something but i'd bet money to say he probably will in the future

Ok this is good, we are all in agreement, they had shitty time growing up, molehills and mostly mountains and what not. And that their rich kid prep school should employ a trained psychologist. They both need it and could greatly benefit from it lol.
But regardless Seme needs a serious slap on the fucking wrist that was a crime, and does their school not allow phones or access to computers, all you need is a name and social media to find someone. For a smart kid he’s pretty dumb
