JUST MY OPINION HOMESICLES.
i don’t dislike girls, and no, i don’t dislike girls in action comics either. i’m not a misogynist and i’m completely fine with women. some comics even portray an awesome, badass female lead and yes, i just live for that. but OH MY FUCKING LORD. females have been portrayed as these annoying bitches who just suddenly appear out of nowhere in a an action comic and just stick themselves onto the side of the mc. THAT’S NOT ALL, but most girls in comics like these are portrayed as one of these; clingy, annoying, stupid, OR ALL OF THE ABOVE. it’s never something like being as overpowered as the male lead, or being extremely intelligent, or even just having a certain talent in something as simple as BEING BRAVE. and even if they were one of these, the author still adds an annoying trait like being a bitch. and i’m not blaming the author, it’s their type of story and they can make it however they want, BUT IT’S STARTING TO BECOME A CLICHE NOW. people dislike the females in comics like these because THEY DO NOT FIT. this is an action plot, not a romance plot. listen, i like yuna and stuff. but it’s just something about her being clingy or just something, that irritates the hell out of me. authors make the women weak, fragile, and damsels in distress. OR they make them annoying and bitchy. even when the author is female themselves, they still do this. UGH JUST PLEASE YUNA AND HER SISTER, IF YOU WANT TO HANG OUT WITH IJIN, JUST SAY IT BLUNTLY, STOP USING THE BODYGUARD EXCUSE, ACTUALLY, PLEASE STOP BEING ANNOYING OVERALL.
Omg I agreeeee brooooo. Like can't we just have a good action manhwa without the romance T ^ T I'm so sick of shitty love interests. Its the same with Beginning of end (whatever the title is).
For me, it's more when the female character is USELESS. Damn, how much I resent (and most of the time drop stories) because I hate the useless female lead... (╬￣皿￣)凸 So irritating and even disgusting.... :(((
I tend to forget them though, because I hate them, but one character I still remember is the female from anime Zankyou no Terror.......... She's so fucking useless imo.
Anyways I just hate female characters who have no quality whatsoever and somehow still "casted" to be an important character. Like, damn, fictional stories, you can cast ME instead of those females and I can do sooo much better!!! Yet here I am living such a miserable life compared to those useless females who live a great, exciting life with the ML....

I guess it's kinda dropped here, but I personally read it on line webtoon because they have more continuing episodes and they're free. :)

Action stories with male leads tend to turn that way, whether it's asian or western.
You know... how most men want to be heroes and therefore the women are weak so he can protect her. A lot of stories with male MC treat women as trophies for the men instead of an actual living being. Always someone weak and useless BUT pretty, or hot, or rich... anything that can be translated as "reward" for their "heroic" ego boost. (=__=*)
I watched a video about this on youtube but I forgot the title because it was long ago... but if I'm not mistaken, it's mentioned in an essay video that talked about Wizard of Oz being the most chill movie without evil character and with no war and therefore no men-to-be-the-heroes nor women-as-their-trophy tropes.

I didn't want to comment because I would go on a tangent, BUT when you cited the female "lead" from Zankyou no Terror, I couldn't stay silent because YOU'RE FUCKING RIGHT. That annoying ass character should have burned in hell for her uselessness. I understand not being brave or even being scared, that's pretty normal tbh, but being dumb and self sacrificing when you have the power of a noodle is just too much for me, like gurl, you know you're practically useless, stay at home and use your freaking survival instincts, don't get mixed up in shit you can't escape from and will get the mc in trouble. SRAY AT HOME, we don't need you to be the heroine when you don't have the ability or personality for it, you can help your heroes from home. Anyway sorry for the long rant, but I absolutely despise that girlie and nine should have just eliminated her from the get go (▰˘◡˘▰)

romance is great, i love it and it’s usually always cute and fluffy and wholesome. the genre is great INDIVIDUALLY. MEANING THAT I LIKE ROMANCE BY ITSELF, NOT AS A SUB GENRE (most of the times at least). especially in action plots, the mc gets into a relationship and all of a sudden, the entire plot shifts to romance and action is just BAM, gone. it’s really annoying and the author starts to build up the romance and wow, it turns from an action, adventure plot to a romance, drama story. it’s starting to get annoying now especially since i’ve seen this in nearly every great action comic. JUST PLEASE, NOT EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE IN A RELATIONSHIP.

i can’t do that. first of all, this is considered sexual assault, if the man was kissing the girl instead of vice versa, then that would be considered ‘disgusting’ instead of everyone saying ‘gO TeSs OMG’ and shit. but moving on, that’s just everyone’s personal opinion so it doesn’t really bother me. what does bother me is that arthur, in the future, doesn’t accept Tess’ confession. He just wants to be friends. SO THEN TESS GUILT TRIPS HIM INTO MAKING THERE RELATIONSHIP. NOT OUT OF LOVE, BUT OUT OF GUILT. arthur could only accept because he loves her as a friend and doesn’t want her to be sad. his mentality is over 20 while his physically body is like 12 or 13, so he obviously just sees her as a child. BUT SHE FUCKING JUST LIKE DJSNDKJWNDJSN SHE FORCES HER LOVE ONTO HIM AND TBH, I HATE THAT. i’m sorry, tess is great and all. but romance usually ruins a great action comic like this. it clouds the goal of the mc and while arthur could be growing stronger and out on adventures, tess could disrupt that by making lovey-dovey statements. now don’t say i’m jealous cause i’ve had over three relationships and i know, they sometimes ruin what you really want to do. tess is awesome and i love her relationship with arthur as best friends, but she fucking forces her love onto him. i also think that she’s misinterpreting that time she got rescued as ‘love’ or the suspension bridge affect. she thinks that the adrenaline she felt during that the was love. and even if it was actual love, that still doesn’t mean arthur likes her. if they have a relationship out of guilt, it would probably end badly. there’s so many things i want to say but for now, JUST PLEASE GO AWAY TESS MY GOD.

Arthur begins explaining that he believes they should remain friends, due to their young age. Tessia was infuriated after listening to Arthur's pathetic explanation. She retorted back, stating that though Arthur was extremely talented in many fields, he was awful when it came to confronting his feelings. She also states that due to his confidence in other skills, Arthur masks his insecurities and refuses to face them. After being left alone, Arthur felt uneasy about confronting Tessia in his next class with her but was alarmed when he found out that Tessia had skipped the class due to being sick. After collecting his thoughts, Arthur decided to confront Tessia once more to sort out his feelings. He apologized for making excuses, and earnestly confessed that he reciprocated Tessia's feelings. However, he asks Tessia to be patient and wait a couple of years for him to mature about his feelings. He promises her that he will not find another girl by initiating a kiss. Afterward, Tess smiles and tells him to not make her wait too long.
