I think it might be due to the fact that when she “saves” this family she becomes skinner which usually sends the wrong message essentially stating that to accomplish something as saving her family she has to not be fat (so the author is fatshaming) I think it has the same situation like the one manga where the mc is blessed by a dark spirit king so her skin is darker and everyone thinks she is evil but spoilers revealed

As for this, we see her working out and struggle, that is very encouraging as someone wanting to lose weigh, I have no idea why people take it negatively, if she wanted to lose weight to be "pretty" for the prince to be the crown princess I would 100% agree with that people, but that is not the case, she wants to take a bureaucracy seat in the palace and losing wight is just another one of her goals.
