It's not a sad ending, just not really satisfying but a bit understandable once you know the whole story then it ends with just that.

is that dude really Senzaki? cuz Senzaki has a lot of tattoos, plus ear tonnels. This guy has 0 tattoos and his earlobes are normal
It probably is. I thought about all of that but the latest picture Ogawa drew of senzaki and that guy look almost the same. She even has an old art of Senzaki with his hair like that.
