Emperor is literally torn between two mummies. Diana is the birth mum he feels guilt and pity for. FL is previous empress who he thought was real mum and could never win her affection. That’s why he gives in to Diana so much but reacts more emotionally to FL and wants to dominate her and shit. He’s also a trash emperor so this guy needs to go. Like wow, he’s actually worse than Sovieshit and that’s saying a LOT
Everyone’s hating on Diana but the brother is WAY worse. Diana just wants to be empress using dirty methods. Yeah look not great. And treats maids like crap for petty shit due to insecurities. BUT her brother is literally watching and ENJOYING people dying fro towers because he loves the power trip and ego boost that they need him. Innocent citizens are dying. The knights protecting the people are dying and he LOVES it. Wants them to grovel to be saved. The boy is SICK in the head and I want him beheaded rn
Queen seems crazy but tbh I kinda get it because current shit king loves his mistress more than her. Gives mistress all his love and time. So in her mind, maybe mistress is somehow the better option because of this but it’s madness she wants her son to be like this stupid king
As much as I hate all these men (obviously not anakin) and they’re all disgusting, it’s kind of refreshing that they are actually disgusting. As in, it’s not a ‘they were just misunderstood’, or ‘they had a bad childhood which somehow excuses toxic behaviour’. Like in the book they were shittty, in life they’re shitty and in love, they’re the worst. And FL is OUTTA HERE.
Refreshing to have a FL who’s smart, not easily manipulated and wooed with gifts, and puts cocky men in their place. I love how she puts Evanders in his place. He’s do dishonest and tries to use his money and power to manipulate her into liking him and IT DOESNT EVEN WORK AN INCH AND I LOVE IT. While the duke who’s good for her, but poor boy is naive and loves her to the point that he separates to protect her, she just GOES AFTER HIM AND ISNT OVERLY SENSITIVE TO HIS DISTANT BEHAVIOUR. I’m so refreshed that the typical tropes are not there. Well at least not the annoying dramatic ones.
What really makes me sad is that all Eris wanted was for the prince to look her way and not treat her like shit which she never deserved. Now she’s gone. This new soul is here and they all know it. Now all these disgusting men are after her because some reason complete disdain is attractive. It goes to show they’re all sick in the mind and only want her to fulfil their ego because they can’t handle a female not being in love with them.
Not to mention she was in love, and then took it away (though not really because it’s not her).
And the priest is beyond creepy. That is still your sisters body. And to just go and revive someone against their will so you can trap them with you is literally psychotic.
