Actually, Mielle doesn't go to jail, she's sentenced to home confinement, she can't even leave her room and her windows are barred.
At this point, the brother is becoming obssessed with Aria, and he starts having thoughts of keeping her for himself.
Oscar's sister breaks Mielle out of her room and takes her with her to the next kingdom over.
Backtracking, Aria creates a group of young entrepreneurs and starts getting fame under an alias.
Prince Asher gets in touch with Aria's alias, not knowing it's her and offers her a deal: to build an academy that anyone with ambition can attend.
At this point Asher and Aria are very close. And the whole 'thinking she's Mielle' is corrected when Asher goes to a party thrown by Oscar's sister. He usually never goes, but since he knows Mielle is going to be there, he wanted to use it as an opportunity to reveal himself as the crown prince. BUT when he meets Mielle he's completely let down and leaves the party immediately. This makes him realize that the girl he's been chasing is actually Aria.
Uhhhh, Oscar's sister has been planning to give the nobles enough power, so that when she marries Asher, she will be in complete control of the kingdom. Which worked in Aria's past life, but isnt working this time, cause Aria's own plans get in the way.
Which causes Oscar's sister to start writing to the neighboring king, to get HIM to marry her, so that they can both take over Asher's kingdom.
Obviously, it doesn't go well.

He stays away from Aria, despite her many attempts to pull him back to her side. And gets engaged to Mielle.
Even after Mielle gets convicted, Oscar's sister still plans to have Mielle marry Oscar, cause she still needs her family's power.
After Oscar's sister and Mielle go to the next kingdom to talk to the king, when they come back, they bring soldiers with them and keep the soldiers housed in the nobles homes. The soldiers basically party it up and spend all the nobles' money. Oscar thinks this is going to far and turned on his sister, but before he can actually do anything his sister confines him in his room, telling him its for his own good.
When Asher and Aria ruin Oscar's sisters plan (Asher and the king are good friends, the king never planned on taking over the kingdom) by sending soldiers to arrest all the bad nobles, they find Oscar locked in his room and he immediately tells them his sisters plans. Which allows him to be free of conviction. He takes over his family's house and lives his life regretting letting Aria go.
But like, I'm with you, Oscar is such a sweet guy. He was put in a position that he couldn't get out of, he didnt deserve to be such a throw away character.
WHICH IS WHY I've dedicated a fanfiction to him. Another reborn character (a girl from our world, who's read the novel, dies and gets reborn into the story) comes in and makes his life better.

Around the time the neighboring king sends the soldiers, Asher meets a Duke from that same kingdom, who looks a lot like Aria. Turns out that duke has a son, who also looks exactly like Aria.
Now this part takes a little history of the kingdom and the translations was a little wonky, but here it is:
Apparently there was a second royal family? That is somewhat related to Asher. That royal family's head was a bad man. He fell in love at first sight with a noble woman from a different country and even though that noble woman was promised to someone else, he basically kidnapped her and forced her to marry him. Real dick move there. Noble woman is very depressed, hates her life and her husband. However, later, noble woman meets up with her old flame again, sleeps with him, and gets pregnant. Royal asshat finds out years later, shames her in front of all nobility and casts her and her grown son out the kingdom. She's forced to leave her daughter (the only child she had with the royal guy) behind. Honestly, it was for the better, cause her old flame, a powerful duke, married her immediately and took her into his home.
HOWEVER, the night before she got banished, her son met Aria's mom. They spent a beautiful night together (leading Aria to be conceived) and before he left the next morning, he promised to come back and marry Aria's mom. But then as you know, he got banished and wasn't able to. It scarred him for life and he is known as mentally unfit by everyone now.
SO JUMPING BACK TO PRESENT.
Asher finds out that Aria is actually blood nobility and after a bit tells her. Aria visits her dad, grandma, and grandpa and they adore her. Well, her grandparents adore her, her dad loves her, but atm he's more caught up in Aria's mom, the love of his life. Which all totally fine, cause Aria's mom divorces Mielle's dad, after tricking him into giving her his money.
Ummmmmm, once everyone gets caught for being crap people, all the nobles are put to death.
But, Aria saves her 'brother' and Mielle. Instead stripping them of their titles, sending the brother to work at the castle as a page boy and Mielle to actual jail with special permissions to take her out periodically.
Aria wanted more revenge.
Mielle becomes slightly unhinged and becomes completely dependent on Aria, cause Aria made her believe that everything that happened was Mielle's own fault. She says something along the lines "even though you did all those horrible things to me, I never retaliated, because I always though of you as my sister". After reflection Mielle realizes Aria is right.
(Even though Aria set her up to fail, Mielle never found that out).
This is where Annie comes I to play. While Mielle is becomes a maid, Annie bullies her relentlessly, which allows the other maids to bully her, too.
Mielle complains to Aria, but Aria says there isnt much she can do about it. Then says 'you should play a prank on Annie'. The prank is to poison Annie so that she just gets sick, but the poison Aria gives her is actually one to kill someone.
They plan to do it at Mielle's first tea party, a celebration of Mielle finally being about to serve proper tea as a maid. Mielle poisons Annie's tea, but its put in front of Aria instead (by Aria's own planning). BUT WE KNOW OUR GIRL ARIA HAS MORE PLANS UP HER SLEEVE.
Turns out she also invited Mielle's brother to the tea party. So while Mielle leaves the table real quick to help Annie clean the 'poisoned tea' that fell down Annie's dress, Aria welcomes the brother and has him DRINK HER TEA. He dies just as Mielle and Annie return.
Mielle is judged yet again. Except this time, she knows that it was all Aria, everything was Aria. Which she tries to tell people, but no believes her and makes everyone love Aria even more cause she's such a saint to try to defend such a terrible person.
With this, Mielle is FINALLY beheaded.

FOREIGN KING kinda has a thing for Aria, and keeps trying to convince her to go to his kingdom. Asher doesn't want Aria to go, but she realizes she has to, so that she can take her father's name and a part of her kinda does want to meet her grandparents.
She ends up getting along REALLY WELL with her grandmother. It honestly so freaking cute. And her grandma is A+++. I mean, her grandma is kinda scarred from those many years of being KIDNAPPED, but she's so sweet. She just what Aria needs.
When Aria returns (Asher went to get her, he's so cute), and her carriage rolls up on the kingdom, everything is covered in flowers, the same flowers Asher was always giving her. And instead of taking the home, the carriage takes her to the town square, when Asher is waiting for Aria. It's there that he finally proposes to her.
OH ALSO, Sarah (Aria's teacher) gets married! And she has Aria pin the veil on her, as a sign of them being best friends. When she does it, Aria tells her that she also wants Sarah to do the same for Aira when Aria gets married. It's so cute.
Oh and Annie gets married to a minor noble.
Jessie gets married to the guy that was selling newspapers from the like tenth chapter. He was excepted into Aria's Academy and is top of his class. Aria has big plans for him, which is why she encourages Jessie when she realizes the two have grown close.

According to the novel, he will appear in the party of that blue haired bitch (Oscar's sister) just to see if aria was mielle. Everything changes when that happens.
The web toon seems a little different compared to the novel but all the important events are there.
