wow…some of yall really are letting your own frustrations out in these comments. i’m starting to get concerned. they’re in a healthy relationship they just need to work on communicating with each other. “yamada is dense he needs to feel jealousy” he does get jealous and we’ve known since the beginning of the story that he’s dense. “he just keeps hurting akane even though he knows the situation with her ex” again we’ve known he’s dense since the beginning he’s stated that he’d stop talking to girls all together if she’d like however she herself thought that wasn’t right. she believes this is her own problem and if she doesn’t actually communicate what she’s thinking how is he supposed to know? i think most of yall are just mad that they’re actually in a healthy relationship that isn’t perfect. also friendly reminder this is a story about yamada and akane not you and yamada so the whole “if that was me i’d break up with him” “if that was me blah blah” is just completely irrelevant if you want to be in a story with yamada and handle a situation your way then go write a fanfiction for yourself. all this is showing is most people that read this haven’t been in a healthy relationship or only read toxic stories. yes while you may have different boundaries in your relationships than akane and yamada does that doesn’t necessarily make them bad. i really wonder if most of us read the same story.
tbh the only character that really stood out to me was the red head. if you have any recommendations with ml similar to him please share! but the main couple were cute it’s just so many misunderstandings and they were kind of forgettable it was cute though
it’s kinda of tragic in a way. they’re both doomed to tragedy. kirin with his love for kang mo and kang mo to have the urge to kill until he dies. i’ve seen how some people want more side stories because they want a “why” however this was never meant to be a “they grow old together” story.
tbh i’ve never read this authors works before and happened to come across it. as i was reading this i thought “wow i don’t like this but for some reason i can’t stop” this was beautifully written. the parts i “didn’t like” were SO realistic which isn’t very common, therefore i think it caught me off guard. while some may not like this i think it goes to shows the realistic parts of a relationship. the hardship, the fear, giving up on dreams (yes it does happen even if you wouldn’t), and most of all growing together. i’m definitely going to check out their other works, and hope the author has an amazing recovery.

i feel like it could’ve ended with this chapter but i’m so glad it didn’t i look forward to the updates so much i’m not ready to let them go yet
i think the dukes sister dying is the reason he acts this way, everyone’s like “oh why’d he not treating his kids good, he only like shushu” if u seen he said he didn’t want to feel the sorrow of losing a loved one again in ch 63. he regards his sons as his family, yet is scared to get close. shushu is making him realize these things and feel his emotions because she’s SIMILAR to his sister in a lot of ways as we can see from the shadow parallels that are cast when people are reminded of her. you can say “that doesn’t give him an excuse that doesn’t justify anything” which i’m NOT saying it is, however you have to look at this from ALL prospectives. from what we’ve seen the duke was already closed off when he had his sister but became completely closed off after her. you also have to remember what type of setting this story is in. it’s based in an empire, the cold north SWORMING with monsters. war irl changes people so imagine fighting monsters constantly, you can’t have your EMOTIONS cloud your judgement. the teacher even said he used the duchess’s death to turn the youngest into a puppet. the duke didn’t want to see the youngest smile in front of him because it very clearly pained him because his smile and looks are most similar to her. none of the willow family knows HOW to express their emotions, i think everyone’s forgetting shushu’s “power” is to create MIRACLES. the reason for her being sent back in time is obviously because the god wants to change how everything went. this is my analysis of the story so far of course you’re free to agree or disagree HOWEVER like i said i am NOT excusing or justifying anything i am just trying to analyze this from ALL perspectives which i believe is what you’re supposed to do when reading this story.
