I wanna see what was Lihuan's father reaction, we can get this open minded vibe from him that he would love his son no matter what. I think every parent knows deep inside about the true nature of their offspring. As for some parents(for example Yuyang's ones), they don't react the way it should be(respectful ofc) and obviously this impacts what they expect from their children. This lack of communication of both parts is indeed troublesome. That's why Yuyang's parents couldn't deal with it before, however, it's not an excuse as well not a bad thing. No one in this world borns knowing everything, we learn through time and it takes a lot of it.

Read what Shuu's dad said about Shuu's mom always having the FREEDOM, and that she chose him with THAT freedom. As for people who are still confused, just re-read it the entire volume. It's a story telling style which may not have been executed cleanly, but perfectly understandable. (Really, does everything have to be in chronological orders for these people to understand?) I agree though that there are a lot of frayed ends, but it's not enough for people to simply brush this story aside just because it doesn't follow the usual rapey omega trope.
