In words, no there are no confirmation. Its always one sided and senpai always turn ballistic every time its mentioned and put emphasis on friends. My hair will turn whiter by the time tsundere senpai admits it. That or he is playing Morinaga with his slender fingers lol

They've been dating since the end of volume 9 but I will concede if you don't understand Japanese culture/tsundere you might miss it?? I don't think it's that hard to pick up though lol

Yes but souichi doesn't exactly like to say that. But if you reread it it's clear where he basically says he only wants to be with morinaga because he's special

Not with those words but there is also the panel with sempai telling Morinaga "There is nothing wrong with what we are doing". Meaning, being together

Iirc, in Japanese media/culture, "staying by one's side" is like a mutual understanding/confirmation that you're together as a couple. So when Souichi said something to the effect of letting Morinaga stay by his side (we know this isn't literal because Morinaga is moving away for work!), that's pretty much him making it official.

Plus, he said, "we're not doing anything wrong" at one point. Also there's the episode with Souichi's student flirting with him. He clearly set a boundary with that but the same boundary was non-existent for Morinaga.
