Idk why but I just have this feeling that the author isn't justifying his actions with a sad backstory...I think they're just showing it...so I think y'all are being abit too far with assuming his backstory is "justifying" anything...

Basically in the 9 months, the ML was forced to be separated from MC. However, they had this bond, unsure whether it was the imprinting or pregnancy, that needs both spouses to be tgt so their physical and mental states are able to be stable and healthy. However, because of the separation, both sides suffer from hormonal imbalance (cnnt sense each other's pheromones and intake it like typical omegaverse ifykyk). In this story plotline, the alpha wld suffer more due to the lack of his partner's pheromones, hence feeling cold, pain and suffered through those months. ML thought MC was going to turn out like his ex who tried to kill him, so he was a total ass phat to MC. ML thought he was free from his father's grasp after leaving the house that MC was in, but father only agreed to let him go bcs he planned to forcefully separate them, wanting either of them to hold any feelings or clingyness to each other. He didn't want them to be in a relationship AT ALL, he only wanted a grandchild to continue his bloodline. (If yall wandering why MC out of all the omegas out there, is bcs the dad knew the MC was his "fated mate" so MC's pheromones are able to get ML to want to mate with him)
Now is when ML realizes how important MC actually was to him. So he now wants to take care of their child without his dad (who is the main cause of all the problems :() and make sure their child does not experience any trauma that might affect his life :).
Basically the dad is extremely selfish and only thinks abt himself and supposedly ML but so much that he is controlling of ML's life (in father's eyes is to protect him in case guys like ML's ex appears again). He just doesn't want to lose his son :/. Then again he kills everyone that gets in their way. That's why ML is scared of what his dad might do to MC.

Genuinely I just felt like Ido used a more forceful approach that not many ppl would accept or understand. However, I personally felt that it was right for him to do this tbh. Remembering what MC did in his previous life, he's very soft on his family as it was the only family he ever had, basically his weakness. I think that's why ML had to use these types of forceful methods and hide it from MC so that he doesn't get MC's feelings involved which might interfere with MC's dad's downfall.

His red string of fate got cut off by some random guy he didn't know (well), the guy he liked likes his brother, he got bullied in school, ppl thinks he's crazy bcs he talks to himself due to the ghosts, and the ghost for us are shown and they are quite scary and dangerous if put realistically. Bro cannot catch a break AT ALL. Just bcs the ml decided to F up his life for "wanting to be him". If y'all wanted to point fingers at someone, it should be the ML. He literally started EVERYTHING.
