Just plain jealousy MCs family in the beginning which caused him to say and do mean things. His mind is twisted from the abuse too so when MC gave him attention he thought he loved him. I just think the author likes to abuse their characters it’s sad

I like the art style so much, it's unfortunate I couldn't connect with the characters yet. By that I mean I have not yet decided whether I like them as characters . I wonder if there are works with this similar style, it's so nice and refreshing, I would love to try them out too.
