Fact is, her yaoislop wouldn’t be a thing without piracy. I read it yeah, but it’s rlly the truth piracy brings MORE ppl in and if they can support it then they can which = more money, that’s why she’s able to do the things she’s done for the bl.
A lot of ppl use piracy for different things. And clearly lots of ppl use it so it brings more ppl.

The art reminds me of comics from the 70s/80s.

If I'm not mistaken, the artist is French. He must have been influenced by "Moebius". I recommend reading "Is Man Good?", it has nothing to do with Yaoi, but it captures the essence of this artist (science fiction, humor...).

And if you read the comic Conan the Barbarian you'll also see a more "raw" art.

Regarding the mistakes, in several comics drawn without AI, there are mistakes with fingers and anatomy.

I'll never forget a mistake in a DC comic from the 90s by Mike Deodato, where in Thor's hand holding the hammer he put his thumb after his pinky! LOL

But nowadays, saying that there is no AI, is hard.

How is it AI? I don't think it's nice to insult actual artists like this.. it's not even constructive criticism. An actual artist could never be like AI, cause it's the other way around

Exactly, honestly this is the second time I've seen someone comment this is AI, i think its rude, and anyone just blindly saying this has no idea how both art and AI works, people are forgetting that AI copies artists not the other way around and God forbid if an artist's art is not up to standard you get lumped in with AI as if artists should only make perfect art!

The part that hurts is I actually really like this artstyle. Personally as someone who draw, I don't see anything wrong with the proportion at all and it's clearly a creative choice. I know it's a preferences but calling it AI is not it

To be clear, this is not AI, not even ai assisted. This was made before ai art got any good as well

Ai even back then in 2023 or before (because it was only published in 2023 and i know the art may have been drawn a long time beforehand) would have made these images even more fucked up than you imagine it would today lmao, makes me kind of sad and baffled people think this is ai when it is genuinely not.

If u are also curious go check out the artists instagram, it’s somewhere amongst these comments.

Their art and character designs are very consistent even if the proportions may be a little off or wonky, or the background may have some inconsistencies, but its REALISTICALLY so. Realistically so in the way that you can see that a human drew this. Even if someone is a good illustrator (which i believe this artist to be) doesn't mean they're going to get comic work perfect as thats a skill in itself.

This artist also uses 3D assets as many of us artists and other comic artists do, so perhaps that could be adding to why you feel something is off, but trust, as an artist that despises ai images, this is far from ai, nor even ai assisted

Please, let’s stop assigning human mistakes and human “that works, good enough” to ai imagery. Often western artists when making comics are taught that not every panel needs to be a masterpiece as long as it tells the story well, and the statistic of how long people actually linger on each panel. It’s different to the standard people have grown to expect when it comes to asian media and comics etc. there are some comics out there that genuinely are using ai to “enhance” their stuff etc, this isnt one of them

Calm down. My bad i didnt state the reason why i thought the art was made partially by ai, it was probably because of the inconsistency of the lineart, with how some panels have much thicker and some have thinner lineart. It was just MY personal opinion. Im not stating the artist to use AI. Not saying this whole comic is made by AI Yeez calm down. I never said the artists "art is not up to standard" or "they make perfect art" Now youre just giving backhanded compliments to the artists as if saying they cant fucking draw well lol. I draw too, I never pointed out wht other people said about the wonky anatomy or anything like that. Youre the one thats saying the art sucks now

Okay, thank you for the explanation. I didnt know anything about the artist, or the when the comic ws published. Look, we are all reading it here illegally, so i can still complain here. No, the commenter before wasnt me. Stop making me sound like im fucking obsessed with throwing hate to this artist. You people who reply to my comment is saying like I cant draw, which is funny, because i do draw, traditionally even. I'm an artist myself too, so i was worried because probably of the shading of the characters and the inconsistency of the linearts between the panels. If you draw, you know. I never said anything about the wonky or stiff anatomy in the comics. Thats on you Lol. The panels lack of colours and shading. Its all just basic flat colours with minimal shading. But thats just probably just the artstyle. The lineart too, some panels when zoomed out have very thick lineart while some have thinner ones. It was way too inconsistent. sometimes its thicker when theyre highlighting the body vs the background, so its thinner when drawn on folds and facial features. but the orher times theyre thick on all parts, even the folds of the clothes have same thickness of the line art as the back of their body. Thus, that was MY PERSONAL OPINION. But thank you for clarifying me. Maybe because im not white and i dont read western comics, no, im not familiar with dc or marvel comics, maybe the artist is inspired by them.

Please stop telling me to calm down ( I'm calm but you've said it twice here it's annoying) the art isn't perfect comparing to their other artworks, that's what i meant how is that a backhanded compliment? And when I say people say AI to every artwork that seems off i mean, inconsistenty lineart, anatomy issues like hands, proportions etc were once understood as the artist is still learning now anything that seems off is said to be AI (yes even partially that counts) if you read it otherwise that wasn't my intention...I am an artist too, I understand the struggles!
