I'll never like Christmas music due to working retail. But almost 2 months straight of non stop Christmas music can do that to you lol.
But the story is really hard to get into. I'm a slow guy myself and I'm all for representation: story has a seme that's kinda stupid in some aspects? Yes, please give him to me, he's my people, I love him already.
But Hara. Boy, Hara, you're really hard to like, you beautifully drawn abusive mess. I think he gets better in the later chapters but that's not saying much tbh. It makes me wonder what the author was going for on this one.
And Yoake is so fucking moody. The author is really trying too hard to make him mysterious and cool, like I understand the trope of going "mysterious answer -> changes subject -> happy and easygoing facade" but doing it 3 times back and forth during a single phonecall? Who does that? It's really frustrating to read cause it ruins all immersion. If I was the mc i'd be like: "listen, do that now-im-serious-now-im-not thing one more time and I'm never touching your character arc or whatever you're trying to establish here ever again. Fucking lunatic."
