I'm liking it so far, but girls in korean BL have it so rough. I always see them being treated like trash for plot sake. I mean, for now orange hair has been so unlikable that the author MUST have done it on purpose.
I kinda like the plot but the characters are so cheesy. Does it get better?
define cheesy? There is a bunch of psychos and is not some cuttie cuttie story about love.
Interesting but I guess it kinda falls flat @ the characters? At least for our demographic.
It also seems that the main culprit is Misaki but one thing I'd like to add to the discussion is that his behaviour would be much easier to accept if the author had done a "better" job. Maybe not better if this is what they were going for for Misaki, but for sure it alienates some readers. It's not just his womanizing behaviour, but the fact that they did very little to make you sympathyze for him at the start and painted him as lazy and uninspired which only cheapened the revelation of his writing genius (lol nobody likes a sudden genius). All of this makes the backstory at 5.5 and the whole father problem feel like bandaids more than real character explorations. Of course it all makes sense, I can understand the Misaki they are presenting, but again, the way you build your characters and unfold your story changes the perception a lot.
At least this is what I'm guessing is happening here, and why the opinions are so polarized.

I really wanted to like this, but I just couldn't. All I could think while reading is that ALL these characters need some help/consultation. ALL of them.
Once you've dealt with your problems, then maybe you can think about relationships, but for now this is a real mess where people are hurt and want to hurt, and I'd rather look at something else.
Honestly it all boils up to the fact that I don't like these kind of dramas. Eh.
This is becoming more and more stressing... Only have 4 chapters left fella, so let's endure for the sake of our children's happy ending! ╥﹏╥

As expected from the author. The MC is really endearing and relatable: reading the description I seriously expected to be annoyed by her but the author handled her very well (her "yes, please insult me" got me rolling). The start was great, the drama chapters with sister and bestfriend in the late middle were the weakest tbh, but the conclussion was really sweet. And finally that ending. Oh boy, that ending.
