Most of the times in shoujos I end up asking "why would the guy fall in love with the mc?". The heroine is supposed to be your reader surrogate but always end up generic and bland. This time, although the author is not doing anything new with Chitose, she really felt like an actual character starring in her story. While Itsuki taking interest in her felt a bit forced at the start, him falling deeper as the story progressed felt genuine and they end up being what each other needed.
Congrats on the author for finishing this, please continue writing good stories.
I'm happy we got to see Shun acting as a big brother, they even got into a fist fight, that's so endearing!
I also liked the "old Fumi" gag, and that flashback where he's holding hands with smiling Sakurako made me feel so warm. I don't think they'll end up a couple so don't lose your wigs y'all. Growing up Fumi will just learn about the different kinds of love besides romantic. Anyway another thing I'm really into is how present was the father, we've already been told that he adores Fumi but seeing him being so "way too into it", bringing a professional camera to his son's sport event, is really heartwarming. And also his final remark when he wishes the mom was there to see really ties up this beautiful chapter!
