I think the teacher kidnapped him when he was younger. That's how the teacher got the scar on his head, and why his father had been sponsoring him. Maybe he was hoping he'd manifest as an omega and wanted to keep him. Or maybe he was going to be an omega but because of the incident, his body repressed the manifestation.
