im fuckin lovin the imagery symbolism in chap 44 so much oml. like its so good and i was so confused initially on why lucia was wearin the dress(?) with the feathers n such because it didnt make sense but seein the bird cages and the birds throughout the chap it like made sense fast. its essentially was a way to represent or hint at lucia feelin/bein caged or trapped by arthurs proposal or the og novel story. she wanted to avoid it as much as possible but then arthur started to catch feelings when she was so close to ‘freedom’ but then the door was just slammed shut in her face metaphorically. like oansbsbejdbfkfifnalf i love it its so good >w<
