Isekai…kinda…regression… actually, not! I really liked the first half of this. I liked that the FL wasn’t going to be swayed and the emperor liked her anyway. But I got really upset when she just couldn’t let go of the “story” and ran away. And then she comes back and there’s the crazy high priest/demon/primordial god thing, and her backstory became all convoluted…I mean then end up together, but all the romance fizzled in the 2nd half.

Isekai - I honestly found this a little tiresome about ⅔ of the way thru. It was all business and perfume, almost no romance. FL just walked around oblivious to everyone’s feelings until she kissed the ML and suddenly they’re making out everywhere?? Poor guy was doing the hard work for months and months. This starts out strong, but the FL becomes weak and hesitant at the worst times, like when she’s being assaulted and shit. I don’t mind the slow burn, and all the drama tends to resolve in a few chapters. Near the end tho, the pace has turbocharged and seems like they’re trying to wrap it up. I don’t mind. I just wanna watch Sisely die now…

Isekai - A lot of this story was predictable, but just really well done. The leads were likable and didn’t suffer from the weaknesses some stories impose, like self-pity or ignorance. Just all around a really good story. I was super stressed out by the empress selection, the emperor under a spell, and waiting for Ella to come back and fuck everything up….! But an ignominious death for the dowager, the 2nd prince raising strawberries, the foreign emperor being a good guy…just great.
