I've finally found it. after years of searching. the purest thing in existence.
My theory is the best friend is willingly hiding him bc the omega thinks staying with the baby means the baby will be in danger (from his dad, from the alpha's family, among other reasons), and the friend sees the (albeit flawed) logic in this and is a reluctant accomplice.
