Currently this is just a story that revolves around their interactions in-game. Very much a slow burn story. 50 chapters in and the ml just resolved his personal conflict. Ml is currently showing interest towards the mc but mc just treats him as a friend/neighbour since mc doesnt know that his neighbour is his game friend as well.
Id say ml's past arc just finished. We do not know how the romantic side will develop, but ml knows the mc's identity irl and in-game while the mc doesnt. There is a potential hint according to the first few chapters on how it may get revealed; the main hook development for now.
So far it is just a slice of life story with a seed of romance. No info on the romance or drama part in the future. Their interactions in-game and irl are cute and this is wholesome overall.
None of that, it's a slow burn and the first season is rated Shounen-ai. The second season will be mature, but I can guarantee that the only stuff happening will be between our MC's XD
