Yeah I dropped it right after they made up through rape and sexual harassment. At least in this story rape and abuse is portrait as something bad, unlike Yours to Claim which makes it seem as if it was something normal, sexy, cute and romantic. I still cannot understand how people can like that and how people can glorify such character. Their and Painter of The Night fandom made me basically drop Yaoi all together. I just read what I’ve started now, I don’t start new ones.

I knew a guy who is gay and had a hella abusive bf. Literally has scars from him and it’s trauma. It’s not something to sexualize or romanticize, it’s disgusting. It actually happens and stories that try to show it as something normal and in any way acceptable are gross.

Ah sorry I thought u were talking about yours to claim. Uke’s have really similar names in those two, I get them confused.

I actually dropped Yours to Claim after the rape chapter. The comments on here sometimes pull me in or I see updates on Insta and I’m never surprised that it’s still horrible. That story is a waste of good art. I had high hopes for Dine with a Vampire, but it soon got dashed with the obviously depressed and abused uke. The chapters go in circles, just that same events with different perspectives. Now I feel like it’s a little shota...Sooin is getting smaller and smaller despite being in his 20s. I think I’ll be dropping this one.

I kinda like this one. He forced himself on Sooin kinda once but I guess my expectations for Yaoi are so low that it’s like acceptable for me to still read it. It’s kinda weird how they often make Ukes look like kids tho. And yeah Yours to Claim and Painter of the night are a total waste of good art. So disappointing. Yours to claim is the only story that when I see character or just cover of it my mood just fucks it up in instant, I just get so annoyed. And I can’t deal with insta comments or edits of it, on mangago some are at least like normal and see it’s wrong but on Instagram everyone is just glorifying whatever semes name was, just cause he’s hot, no matter how toxic and abusive he is.

I do think that Vampire guy is good and he is falling for Sooin. He's sweet to him and wants to protect him. But Sooin is so broken that its sad for me to read. I want Sooin to speak up, but he can't. Its just sad. (Thats what abuse will do to you!) I might come back to this story later, but with the writer kind of going in circles and Sooin looking so young, I think I'm going to drop it for now.

Yeah I get it I agree. I like stories with abuse of its (like here) portrayed as something bad and not good or normal. I like reading angst stories
