I don’t really feel bad for her. She enabled that behavior. And it’s not that she went to the extents she did, because she wished for her child to be happy and healthy, but because she wanted him to meet her unrealistic expectations. She took him off meds because he didn’t achieve the academic results she wanted him to get. She projects onto him and cannot accept the fact that he just may be a normal child instead of the genius she tried to make him into. MC is right, that is also a form of child abuse.
