I think this is really under-rated among isekais and it's just genuinely sweet and fun! Definite similarities to other isekai, but really in the grand scheme of all literature nothing is truly new. That is part of what makes it good. Millions of stories made with only so many letters or characters being brought to life by different art styles. <3

Oof there is a whole potential for him to have gaslit the fuck out of her making her think him leaving her with essentially a special needs child was all her fault as a carnivore and that he thought she wouldn't be able to control her urges. Now. Add that on top of a very co-dependant personality plus the stress of raising a special needs child while being alienated from society and family. Like damn. Melon's momma was broken.
