I think bby boy just needs some time to let it all sink in. I believe he handled this very maturely, knowing that he's emotionally unstable he chose to just walk out and take a breather instead of forcing the conversation to continue. He's just left unsure of how ''real'' everything is now.. and that's just adding fuel the the fire that the ex lit.
