Oh, I haven't reached the end yet but in a way I agree with you. This is personally on top of my list for a lot of reasons (the drawing art, the plot, the character/s ...). In a way sensei was able to turn the tables on us but transforming an anti-hero (a teen murderer) into some sort of a sisyphean "hero". I can't really refine my opinion till I reach the end but my initial take was that Ryo is the creation of the malfunctioning of the modern society's system of values. Perhaps not everyone will agree, but that's my personal interpretation. I hope that Izo Hashimoto will create more mangas like this one because I think that this is his only work up till now.
