What I love about this webtoon is that even if this is a simple slice of life comic, the characters themselves have intricate personalities that make readers get attached to them like for example for the 1st couple, I loved how their miscommunication is handled here. In other stories, the cause of miscommunication is very stupid where it could have been handled way easier, but in here you will get both sides and what caused their breakup in the first place, and the overall theme of their story which is about perfectionism and how you want others to see you, especially the ones you love and cherish which is the irony cause it backfired, resulting to their breakup. It's quite relatable and sends an important message to its readers. Another one is the 2nd couple, I myself is very interested in the 2nd couple because there's an intrigue in how their future relationship will play out, there are so many possibilities, if the first couple is about getting back together, in this one, it is seeing these two people's relationship and how it could bloom into something more.

Here is my opinion on the matter, while RAPE is prominent in yaoi and overall romanticized in many stories, I think the biggest thing to note is whether the story is serious or just porny. What I mean is if the story has actual PLOT in it and the story is captivating to the readers, adding rape that in story-driven yaoi where it's romanticized is just off-putting and just ruin the experiences for the many readers, I mean yes you can argue that the said story is smutty, but there are other ways to show those sex scenes without putting rape in it. The worst part about this is that often the rapist and its victim end up together or there are no repercussions or at least an acknowledgment of the rape itself so that the rapist will redeem himself. There are an exception to this like the omegaverse given how things work out differently that's why I could at least read such stories but even then, there should atleast an acknowledgement of the act. This is why I dislike BJ Alex because even though the seme redeemed himself, there's no acknowledgement on the fact that he raped the uke, like yeah there are stories where the seme could have ended up with the uke even if the uke is raped, but stories like that should have a strong development and redemption arc given how serious rape is, even if it's fiction such themes should be crafted carefully because of its nature and we readers have the right to be offended by such medium if the portrayal is not taken seriously. In porny stories however, I could see the rape being used because these types of works are meant to gratify the readers' eroticism and libido. These works don't have a fundamental story or plot itself that's why it is not as off-putting as those story-driven yaoi. In conclusion, context really matters, I think the main flaw in the way many yaoi writers think is just because it's smutty, this and that can be incorporated into the story, they really have to think if the said content fits perfectly into the story and if incorporated, they should know how to handle it carefully. The said stories may be fiction but they can impact reality one way or another.

In one scene where DG brought the drunken Jiwon to his apartment, then Jiwon forced himself on DG. This is also the part of the story where there's a conflict ongoing between them so yeah. I could vaguely remember the full details cuz I did not want to read it over again due to my issues with the series so yeah.

he's rape twice. the dildo with spicy lube scene and the hallway scene when Jiwon is drunk and DG goes to pick him up from the outdoor bar.The whole situation is just ignored by the author and of course they repeat themselves with the side couple being just as bad establishing toxic portrayals of BDSM. The whole plot is utter trash other than the art but people simp over it.

Look I get it, BLM is battling racism and such but constantly shoving down to our throats is just a bit much. Please, many people already support the movement. Please don't post political agendas on manhwas, mangas, and webtoons where many people would just want to read the story.

Bruh, this is Mangago. This is a place to read stories not to be used as a political agenda of sorts. I may have views of my own but I don't post it on many sites unless its the focal point of discussion however many social media sites go out of their way of making things political, from videos to my timeline, and even Mangago now it's just tiring at this point. I want and some people want a break from that, that's why many people's hobbies are reading stories or watching cute videos, however some people go out of their way to post political things. No matter how small or big it is shown, can we please just make this site politics free as possible. I know people have good intentions, but please can we just make this site politically neutral as possible. Also regarding your last point, I'm not an American, I'm solely relying on the information that are being thrown around so correct me if I'm wrong. Why is it that every time a white person kills a Black person, it becomes sensationalized? Why is it that every time this happens, the media portrays this issue as black or white thing, us vs them type of mentality. Why??? Black people's deaths are often from other Black people, so why is it that when a White person, and yes he is racist but even then, are the majority of White people racist? Of course not, so why is it portrayed this way. Why not look at the whole picture cause when you look at it that way, all people no matter the ethnicity experience Racism. When the coronavirus appeared, xenophobia against Asians rise particularly to East-Asian looking people, there's this one video of a Black person attacking an Asian woman, but did it exploded the way George Floyd did when he died, which to be fair he died but the unarmed Asian woman did not, but both were attacked due to the perpetrator's racist views. When some Asian people experienced xenophobia, did the Internet exploded in rage? I don't think so. Why do Black people get an exception when all of us, at some point were discriminated not because of our personality but of our identity? Just why? It's because of the media and how many people play the victim card. We could be united at this point if we don't have this innate bias on who gets to be the victim and the perpetrator, on who is racist or who is not. Think for a second, when our main judgment of a person is by their personality. When we just don't think about racism at all, when we just let it be a hideous word of the past. When we're not blinded by us vs them mentality. When we just see people as people and not see one another as the oppressed or the oppressor. By sensationalizing things that blind people to the whole truth, it just adds fuel to the fire and all that's left of our judgment is our irrational emotions, without logic and forethought. Sorry if I can't explain certain things because English is not my first language so I hope you get my message.

I'm with you on that. The circumstances of death of Georges Floyd was atrocious and everybody had enough expressed their empathy, tears and anger about that issue; cities everywhere in Western world burnt (and still protest), but now I think things went too far. Lately, L'Oréal even wanted to erase from its ads words like "whitening", "white"... which resultes in a boycott of the mark by consumers. WTF is all this?

And you're totally right on coronavirus and the repeated violence against people of Asians origins in the West: sad truth is, when it's the Asians who endure racism and barbarism, NOBODY GIVES A FUCK.
What was hilarious is that those who perpetrated the attacks not long ago on Asians were for the most... Black people :'D Sorry, but I find that so pathetic and sad. We all have seen these videos of Black people attacking rondomly Asians in the streets, bus, metro... over the Covid-19, in an extrem violence.
Though, no one ever cared for us, Asians. Hopefully I live in France, but even there I was sometimes afraid to go out doing simple things as groceries.
Because we are more discret, because Asians especially Chinese prefer to focuse in advancing rather than complaining, everyone just ignore the violence and hate words related to coronavirus we had to endure in silence. And today, when I see the BLM and all this going overboard... (while no long ago they were the ones to treat Asians like leprosis...), Excuse me... So, the new norm is, when we have enough of the BLM, we're cast outside?
Let me tell you people that a world where every race/all races can get perfectly along, "multicultural" like France's dreaming, is a vast illusion. I live in an area where there are all kinds of races and ethicities, from Black to Arabs to Asians, Whites... well, none mixes with the others. Arabs stay with Arabs, Black with Black... Each race TOLERATES at best the others, IGNORES them at worse, and it's not because we pack them together by force like in those suburbs that this will stop racism or open people's minds.

If anything, Mangago should stay out of all this, like the Oasis it always was.

Like I said originally, the original BLM mention was just a small paragraph, not an entire political essay.

But I read what you have said and I want to explain this for someone that does not live in the US or does not understand why people are protesting in particular for black lives.

Yes, there is black on black crime, and there is black on asian crime and even black on hispanic crime. No one ever said that the struggle or pain of those people never mattered. As an Asian person who lives in an area with many Hispanic and Black people, it hurts me to see what has happened to these communities and it's not right, no one who actually supports BLM would encourage this behavior either. But the fact that this happens does not detract from the fact that there is an overwhelming majority of black people that have been unjustly killed by the police. White people as a whole are not the problem, in fact the police that killed George Floyd were not even all White.

You also mentioned, "why sensationalize everytime a white person kills a black person? "why is it about race?" It is because when a white person murders a black person, the murderer is not held accountable. When a black person murders another black person, they are sent to prison with a lifetime sentence. Why do you think the names of so many black people have been put on social media? Because the murderers of these people have never been held accountable for their actions. You are upset over a tiny paragraph that mentioned how people may be able to help the cause, yet you wrote paragraphs explaining how you don't understand why we are fighting.

Yes, this is mangago. A website where we read and imagine ourselves to be away from the negative parts of the world. It's a place where I can escape from a world that is so wounded and broken and just look at catboys for a few minutes. But when I close my phone, I go back to a world where homophobia and racism exists and no matter how long I spend on this website, that does not change the fact that people have been murdered.

Mangago and manga sites aren't for you guys to spread whatever other than Mangas related topics, especially in the comment section, and less again right in the comic's pages. I understand your point, though I think - and I'm surely not the only one- that Manga sites SHOULD STAY OUT of such matters.
We all have values and personal convictions that we want to defend, whatever big is the problem or not; and if you think that someone have the right to speak or mention about it, think also about those who might be annoyed by this. Not because they're heartless bastards but because they're bored by seeing it everywhere and the matter going overboard; this might even have the opposite effects of what their authors were expecting, in the long run.

MOSHIYUSHI June 25, 2020 12:52 pm

I'm so glad made the most sense with the ending of the original timeline cause I don't support abusive relationships. It really makes me uncomfortable how someone can romanticize it and even fetishize it. I'm just happy our MC managed to stand up for himself and truly be free at the end. Although I'm a bit sad about Jihyun, at the end of the day, he brought these all to himself. No amount of history of abuse should justify his actions and by thinking so is a dangerous mentality to carry. Tbh instead of the side-story of an alternative universe, I just wish the author developed Jihyun in the main story and how he grows from his regrets and past conflicts considering that he is engaged. I just wish the author could have shown us more perspective of his character cause tbh I also want him to grow but of course with a new character and with that, how they can develop to truly bring the satisfying redemption arc which would satisfy both the story's fans and also the story itself. By this point, the story could have gone in different directions. Like him finally redeeming himself to Chiwoo. In this case, his past actions are acknowledged but at the same time forgiven, if the story could have gone this way, it would be a satisfying climax of the series at least for me cause I love character development. This way, slowly but surely they would have rekindled back as friends without ever crossing dangerous boundaries on one another as they both of them have their respective partners.

MOSHIYUSHI June 25, 2020 12:32 pm

To those people who justify Jihyun and the MC's relationship, I hope your fantasy does not fester onto reality because justifying toxic relationships is not it. Remember that no matter how physically beautiful the person is, if they have bad attitude and personality, then that must exclude them from consequences they will bring onto themselves. Plus beauty is not only seen in the outside but also the inside.
