Ikrrrr this is so frustrating
all i can say is that this was not in novel if i can remember correctly lol. while the part of hestia sitting on the balcony railing(?) and having ideations abt dying and what would happen if she were to die were true, she did not actually want to do it. while she was sitting there, she saw the carriage entering the gate and kaelus prolly saw her and immediately rushed to pull her away. hestia was shocked and lowkey didnt think it was that serious up until she felt him crying. kaelus was not talking at all, visibly distressed and depressed and she did a lot of coaxing to cheer him up and reassure that she wasnt about to kill herself. he didnt show up for work and literally only stayed beside hestia for days. he only brightened up when hestia suggested to leave the capital to focus on them and their relationship. they ended up taking a looooong vacation in the territory they recently acquired, only to come back when something big happened.
i’ll only spoil that much lol. honestly my memory might fail me bc im so unsure if i remembered these sequences correctly. the novel is actually good so maybe you try looking for it if anyone’s interested.

yeah but that scene happens in the novel at around the most recent chapters of the manhwa with kaelus coming home from telling the crown prince he doesnt want diana to be abdicated. they prolly moved it earlier for the manhwa bc they planned to add this scenario of hestia losing consciousness lol. to be fair, the novel did gloss over hestia’s existential crisis so i guess this is a way to make up for it.

diana can repent all she wants and change her perspective in life, but what’s done is done. she can have a redemption arc for all i care, but i hope this does not mean she gets to regain whatever she lost. her falling down from grace is a direct consequence of being stubborn and hardheaded for her way of thinking—not pausing to reflect on why hestia is even opposing her in the first place, and simply thinking of it as petty hate. i think it would also be so unfair for helios after he had spent 7 years before finding a new wife. tho i don’t condone whatever those other girls are doing to her lmao they’re no better

I totally agree tho, diana's current position is a direct consequence of her own actions. u could say that she simply wasnt cut out for royalty or was driven up a wall, but imo, it was her own stubbornness, greed, and hubris that led her to her down fall, and no matter how much she repents, the fact that her words and actions literally killed someone/drove someone to want to end themselves is enough damage to last her a lifetime reflecting. but I also agree that she doesn't deserve to be treated the way she is by some of the ppl in her hometown. no one deserves to be used as a stepping stool for others to feel more superior, but ig u could also say its a bit ironic how the tables have turned. the bullying is quite petty, but it must still be hard to fall from grace that hard, only to be continued to be tormented in the place u consider to be closest to being a haven

me not giving a fuck about whatever happens to diana and not wishing for her to get back all that she lost doesn’t mean i want her to be harassed and bullied. i was rooting for her to understand where hestia was coming from and maximize their joint slay together in order for the common people to be more empowered bc of how influential their positions are. she just wasn’t ready for it, and it’s sad bc she was simply a product of her time and environment. as compared to hestia who came from another world and was privileged enough to have an education to be able to do the things she did.
