He does die. Izek goes with the dragon and attacks the temple and kills cesear. Also they sacrifice enzo thru a spell the queen helps with. The queen basically baits ruby to come to her and "hang out" at the palace and enzo dies from something like witchcraft preformed by the queen where i think using a chosen sacrifice it can teleport a person to a specific location.

I hope that author never go to the route of "forgiving the mother(Hyesung) because in the end she is still his mother". No I don't want that. I don't hate Byul but saying that never hear the side of his grandmother story is wrong. What I hate the most is Dojin mygosh up until now you are still a jerk.
