I know a lot of people probably love and enjoy this... But after binge reading and everything, this is such a flat story. There's no volume to the storytelling, the most that is there is sex. I mean, it's horrible what they both went through and I appreciate the author making them bond over it but the ML is especially bad. You'd think that after knowing the mc's situation with being an orphan he'd be like "oh he's been through hardships too"... But no, he thinks he's the only one whose been betrayed and the only one whose lonely. He thinks that manipulating the mc is the way to go when being legit with his feelings and saying "I like you too, let's stay together forever" would keep him.
I probably will not continue reading this, but my predictions for the future are the MC will realize he's being manipulated and get flashbacks from his past. He'll lash out and probably leave and stay with that friend from the beginning's house for a little. The friend from the beginning will probably hit on the mc and maybe kiss him but the mc won't like it. They'll be awkward or the mc'll leave, and during this time the ml will either ignore the mc out of retaliation or he'll be searching for him everywhere and end up begging for him to come back. In the end they will end up together but it'll be a lot of drama.
The manipulation and everything is so uneccessary... Like manipulation for what??? To stay the way you are even though nothing is tearing you guys apart except for yourself? It pisses me off. There are so many loose ends right now as well like your brother left the family yet you guys were seeing your dad together or doing business together or was that some ""hyung"" and what about the bullying from the past? Probably the one red headed rookie we saw from the ml's workplace or whatever. I mean why else would they show him slightly?
Ngl I wish he ended up with minhyuk or someone completely separate. I loved this at first but then it was... something I couldn't stand anymore. I loved how tough the mc was, and still is, but at the same time it was so stressful to read. I have enough stress in my life like damn, then these side parts??? WYM WHAT IF HE GOT CUCKED??? What if he ended up with minhyuk/fell for him? That's what I wanna know GOLLY
AGREEEEEE!!! usually side stories of ‘what if’ are mc x second lead but wth is this(/TДT)/ (i also want to see SooYoung and Minhyuk or if it’s Taesung and Sooyoung being lovey dovey is also acceptable) did the author put different seasoning this time and it tastes bad cause they marinated the main story well
I know I just commented but I want to make a quick comment about a realization I had: So many BL fans have been enjoying martial arts comics as of late. Even if the MC's and other characters are good looking in comics before, it wasn't like it is now. I think bc of the type of BL that's been pushed out (either really good or really mid) it's made a lot of BL fans spread out to even more genres than before. I also think martial arts comics have gotten both funnier and more fun to read in general, and the plots can make you sob or laugh with them.
Well for me, I was originally just reading shounen and shoujo. Naruto Shippuden was mostly my go-to back then but then I need more of an escape thats when I encountered BL. And then webtoon came out, and trends starts shifting and the competition was so saturated that lately it turn into which is the most beautiful or badass artstyle. So to speak, I became a multi-fan of every fiction that's good. From what I observed, BL fans were originally fans of straight comics until there imagination goes wack and started shipping in the vast open sea and most of them couldn't extract themselves away from it. And just saying, there's actually more good BL now compared to the highly dubious BL's back then.
And I agree with you, it really is more fun to read action comics in general these days but as for me making me sob? NOTHING BEATS LIGHT NOVELS! (^∇^)ノ♪
OH I AGREE!!! I have become a fan of whatever catches my attention and has great plot and good characters. I do think a lot of BL has come a long way, which is why it's kinda in a 50-50 limbo of if the plot is good or not... But at the same time, recently (by recently I mean within the last 6-ish months) I've seen more half-assed plots that don't make sense than ever before, but have decent/pretty art which is pretty much what you said about webtoons (and why I haven't been on there for a few years). But I just made the comment above bc I've seen so many BL fans lately, when I hadn't a few years ago LMAO
I would understand if they weren't official or didn't state their feelings... But they both said that they liked each other, yet the ML still gets hotels with other women??? HuH??????????????? He's possessive over the mc and won't let anyone else near him, but it's okay if he does it. How the fuck does that make sense. The fact that the mc has a feeling that the ml wouldn't stay faithful and would possibly be with a woman eventually too is sad. Maaaaaaaan I wish the mc wouldn't attract the weirdos. I hope some bigger badder dude comes and whisks him away from everyone and treats him and his daughter well (won't happen)

What irks me is the ML def has a thing for the MC, yet he keeps making the MC chase after him. Yeah he may not be fully aware of his feelings but he's been extremely jealous, bit possessive and breaks his own heart when he thinks the teacher and the MC would get together. The teacher is obviously an over-protective brother type. Like, the MC is often misunderstood and probably had a lot of heartbreak already (if not in love, with losing friends or not getting friends) so the brotherly dude feels extra protective. Like "IF YOU'RE NOT SERIOUS GET OUTTA HERE UGLY" sorta shit.
