I think sometimes people need to remember that MC said in the first (or second?) chapter that he has seen ghosts before and he's EXTREMELY TERRIFIED of them. So when he acts like he doesn't see them and acts the way he does, it's not only because of previous experiences but also from fear. The way he acts makes sense when we think of panic attacks and shit like that.
I hate open ending stories, but for this one it felt perfect. I wish there was a second volume but at the same time idk if I could handle it if it wasn't a happy ending. Depression is a horrible thing and it presents differently from person to person, both characters have depression but it is so different for each character that they have a hard time seeing eye to eye half the time... but it's also what causes them to bond and open up to one another.
In my imagination, Konno learns from Saki how to enjoy the little things. Lemons, yellow, fireworks, a beautiful day, karaoke, all the things they enjoyed together could brighten up her boring day. They learn from one another and grow together into people who can make it through the day without wishing the next would never pass. Sometimes all you need is someone to reach out and show how much they care in order to continue going. Konno obviously felt that her family wouldn't care whether she lived or died, maybe they're strict and caused her depression in the first place.
While fiction does not equal real life people take inspiration from the stories they read and apply it to their daily lives. Just because one person is wise enough to know right from wrong that doesn't mean the next person is. I always see the argument "fiction isn't reality" when it pertains to grooming, incest, and other types of weird sexual things. I find it to be a poor argument when each person is completely different in their way of thinking. There have been people who use the excuse of fiction (like star wars, call of duty, other video games and movies) to incite violence, why would sexual things be any different?
When showing these things in fiction (grooming, rape, incest, etc) and it's portrayed as a bad thing that's one thing, but when it's portrayed as insignificant or something that could be covered with a band-aid it CAN have negative consequences. It is said that the way stories are told is a good indication of how one's environment and/or society is like. It's a good indicator of how that time's morals and ways of thinking are portrayed. A lot of people end up becoming numb to the different topics.
It genuinely freaked me out when louie (the mom) said that he could've seen this coming from the get-go, that Yullur was extremely attached to him from an early age. I don't think people understand what grooming is fully. Grooming could be favoritism, building trust, etc etc. It's a broad spectrum that changes the child's (or the one being manipulated) perception of them. While it is a very thin line that Yullur was walking on, it's iffy telling if it was fully grooming.... But the relationship is wrong in general. Regardless, it's typical in BL like this. I'm surprised I even stuck with this story, but I read Louie's part and thought this would be fun.

I'm so extremely upset Dispar is done for, the only character I really liked was Miha, but I was rooting for his happiness... Hell even if the author made UNHOLY with a new plot but Miha was still the main character I'd have been happy... You made Miha a side character while the main character is the one that Miha was worried about in this story???? I get it, I change my mind on who I want my characters to be with all the time and I revise their stories a million times... But when you start a comic IT SHOULD BE SET IN STONE. I really do understand, as one HORRIBLY perfectionistic unmotivated artist to another I get it... But at that point just make a whole new story with DIFFERENT characters.
Don't get me wrong, I prefer more masculine and actually manly looking bottoms. It feels a bit more realistic to me... But this whole new story feels like some sort of weird AU. The whole vibe is different, the characters act different (albeit still fucking crazy), the aesthetics are different... It's cool, I think it could've been something neat if it didn't feel so weird. Like what's even the point of the side story Beast if you're going to make something new like this? I get that a lot of artists change their minds about their series (which I've been frustrated about before bc I think a lot of artists don't realize what a good story they have) but come onnnnn.
If UNHOLY gets translated I miiiiiiight read it but I doubt even that fucking series will be finished lmao so I don't want to get my hopes up for shit again. Five years of anticipation for what
