Eclis literally killed people to obtain his goal. Sure they're selfish, but Penelope never killed people to obtain her goal. Meanwhile he killed innocent fellow countrymen.

But To make Eclis a murderer was on the hand of MC. Mc may have been struggling but not considering Eclise's feelings and doing only what she wants to attain her goal, not sharing her highlights of plan, and only doing as she wants godddd her incompetence is just railing up. she is like a playgirl although the circumstances may have been like that she had the option to choose solely Eclise and she failed herself in that. She said her only lifeline was Eclise but she didn't even go to visit him timely, letting him live with suspense and all goddddd she is just acting like a bitch.

Idk what user maliciouscorpse is thinking but we don't think of eclis as ML but a human mc selfishly used(she started using and gaslighting him way before he murdered his fallen countryman) . When mc will choose to stay in this world everyone will become very much real (I mean for mc ) just think if elcis actually fell for her innocently (even though mc never ever genuinely liked him) she'll go to her world and abandon him in the world where there is no one for him , a salve who have lost his owner might as gey kicked out having no place or get sold again , and the mental trauma over the war one .

But didn't Eclipse know that Penelope didn't love him the same way? Eclipse knew from the start that Penelope was just using him and didn't hold any feelings for him despite her actions saying otherwise. And I think you can make an argument that Penelope's kind words and affections weren't meant to seem romantic but more platonic but that's another convo. Eclipse said so himself that he knew he had other options but chose this option because it would make Penelope rely on him. Also calling her a playgirl considering the fact that's she in an otome game is ironic and feels kinda exist. Then to your second point in which she should of included Eclipse in her plans makes no sense for her to due in her circumstances. Especially since she knows Eclipse in the game holds love for ynnone and could possible turn on her. It only makes sense as a possibility now because we have foresight she didn't.
