In the actual novel, Heseong beats up the blonde guy badly for attacking Chi Young. He beats him so bad that he has PTSD and ends up scared of Heeseong.
It’s actually a sweet moment between Chi Young and Heeseong when Chi Young wakes up and find out what happened.

The whole novel is supposed to be about not wanting to piss him off! He's a fighter dog for a reason! I wish they showed that too because that's how I thought his character was supposed to be. And why he and Chiyeong were so good for each other!

If you’re interested in a bit of a spoiler, this manhwa basically follows the Cinderella storyline with a bit of transmigration added in. Literally a step mother and two step sisters. Strong female lead and pretty well written storyline and characters. I’m enjoying it so far.
