Sh*t, I usually don't cry while reading manga. But this, this really got me struggling to hold back them tears. I started this thinking I was going to read a lighthearted romance, one I'd probably end up abandoning because the story is too predictable and the characters are too shallow. But no, all the 'cliché' behaviors present here have a deeper layer to them.
Yeonwoo's behavior, something seen countless times in other stories where the shy boy is just shy because he's oh so adorable and anxiety is cute, actually appears to be more than that.
Character concepts that have been seen time and time again are much more intricate here. The dark, twisted sides of emotions, the portrayal of the grim reality of SA, instead of the often-seen downplaying or even romanticizing of it.
Although it's tough, I'll keep reading it. And if this isn't your thing, feel free to drop it. There are so many stories with shallower characters or characters without trauma, plenty of lighthearted manga that don't touch upon these issues or even ignore them.
